Yes our flight home went well. Jane and I truly had a wonderful trip to Italy. Thank you all for the guidance and expert trip planning.
Discover Your Italy did a great job in listening to what our interests were for this trip and in planning a perfect trip to explore those interests.
Communication with your staff was excellent (both before and during our travels).
We had instant responses when we inquired about how the flooding might affect our trip to Bologna and when we missed a train in Bologna. Each and every day had experiences that we greatly enjoyed.
There were several experiences that we both felt were exceptional and greatly exceeded our expectations.
1.) The truffle hunt experience near Pienza: We couldn’t believe that the experience (hunt and lunch afterwards) was a private tour. It gave us unprecedented access to the truffle hunter and through the interpreter, we were able to ask any question that we had about the hunter, the dogs, truffles, etc. This was a day that we will remember forever!
2.) The private guided hiking day in Cinque Terre. Our guide was exceptional!! He customized and adjusted the itinerary throughout the day to accommodate our interests and abilities. His knowledge of history, geography, plants, agriculture, and food and wine meant that we learned much more about the area while we hiked than we could in reading any of the guide books.
3.) Our private cooking class in Florence was such a pleasure. Our Chef was able to quickly assess our existing cooking knowledge and skills and find subjects and techniques that furthered our knowledge. I am happy to know that one of the best meals I had in Italy, we actually prepared.
The restaurant recommendations were great, the hotels were perfect, the private drivers were prompt and courteous.
Lucia, the entire trip was fantastic and we would like to come to Italy again and use Discover Your Italy for our planning when we come back.
It took us longer to get a car once in Florence than it did to make a connection in Paris and fly to Florence.
The staff there was truly incompetent. A fight nearly broke out between a client and the person in charge of the rental office. They did not communicate nor apologize for the delay.
All of the other car rental companies had their clients in and out. Maybe Noleggiare is less expensive …. but they are not worth it. I would pay more to rent from Hertz, Alamo, anyone else but Noleggiare.
