Thank you so much for organizing such a wonderful holiday for us. You have a great team!
There were many positive aspects of the trip. I appreciated how responsive the team was when any slight issue came up. Issues always come up in any journey but I always got a quick response and a ‘fix’ very quickly. The itinerary was excellent. A good balance of activities and down time. The drivers were all very good. We particularly liked our driver from Naples to Amalfi. He took us to his favourite pizza place in Naples and that was one of the highlights! We enjoyed the unexpected small joys, eating figs right from the tree while hiking the Path of the Gods, the 60’s music on the Amalfi boat cruise, the astounding view from the Belair, the food tour in Sorrento, having sandals made in Anacapri. We were slightly off the beaten path thanks to you and that was wonderful.
I am glad we took your advice to stay outside of Positano which was beautiful but crazy. The hotel in Amalfi was fantastic. Yet, I wish we could have just walked to Positano. Also glad we stayed in Sorrento.
The art tours were all very good. I’m sorry but I forgot their names but the guides for the Caravaggio/Bernini tour, the Colosseum and the Villa Borghese tour had so much knowledge and passion for the artwork. It was a delight. Another highlight was being able to skip the long lines! Having private guides was a luxury and it was so worth it! It made Rome feel not so crowded.
The guides in Amalfi, Pompeii, the hike, the boat tours and Capri were also fantastic. Friendly, knowledgeable, and fun.
If I did it again I think I would ask for more gastronomical experiences. The Sorrento food tour was wonderful as was the pizza class. Really enjoyed the restaurant at the end of the hike in Amalfi as well as the dinner in Ravello. I think a couple more unique food experiences would have been great. I wish we had done a food tour in Rome. I so love Italian food! I would like to come again and do a food tour of your best cheeses, balsamic vinegar, more olive oil, wine, prosciutto and see how it’s all made!
