Day 1-3: Marvel at the Capital of Cagliari

Begin this stellar island adventure in Sardinia’s marvelous capital of Cagliari, where we gather for dinner in the buzzing hilltop neighborhood of Cagliari. Visit the National Archaeological Museum and admire the Giants of Mont’e Prama, ancient sandstone sculptures. Climb up the 19th-century Bastione di Saint Remy for panoramic vistas of the city and the sea, shop along Via Sulis and meet some of Cagliari’s top artisans. See Sardinia’s natural wonders: unwind on the gorgeous Poetto beach, backed by scenic Molentargius ponds where flamingos nest, and discover the salt pans of Conti Vecchi. Visit the Porto Flavia mine, carved into cliffs above Sardinia’s west coast, and cruise along the shore. Dock at the mountainous Genoese-influenced island of San Pietro for a delicious lunch of locally caught tuna in postcard-perfect Carloforte village.

Day 4-5: Ancient Sardinia and Catalan town of Alghero

Head out to explore Barumini, a guide will show you one of the most beautiful prehistoric sites of the Mediterranean Sea, the 3,800-year-old Fortress of Su Nuraxi, protected by UNESCO and witness of Sardinian Nuragic Culture. Move on to Chia with its golden beaches on Sardinia’s southernmost point, for dinner and a charming overnight. Next up, visit the charming Catalan-flavored settlement of Alghero, also known as Alghero, for a two-night stay. The next day hop on a boat to the stalactite-covered Neptune’s Grotto at Capo Caccia. Back in Alghero, we suggest to visit the lively Alghero and the local fashion designer Antonio Marras and a trio of jewelers who craft beautiful filigree and coral creations.

Day 6-7: Journey Bosa and the Emerald Coast

Reach Bosa, a charming village on the banks of the Temo river. Here you will enjoy a fantastic boat tour on the river Temo, the only navigable river in Sardinia. You will start the tour from Bosa Marina and arrive at the church of S. Pietro, admiring the town of Bosa from an unusual perspective. After the boat tour, visit at your leisure the town of Bosa that offers just as much to see, including the historic center, the old tanneries, the Malaspina Castle and the cathedral of San Pietro Extramuros, perfectly preserved from the Middle Ages.

The Wine Museum, illustrates the cultural aspect of wine production in Sardinia. A simple but meaningful journey into the world of traditions, told by rudimentary work tools, where the supply chain is reconstructed starting from working the land, caring for the vineyard, pressing the grapes, processing the cork and bottling.

Day 8-10: Uncover Sardinia’s Best-Kept Secret of Barbagia

Today, a boat tour (weather/sea conditions permitting) with the possibility to visit some of the most beautiful islands of Northern Sardinia will be the highlight of the day. This excursion follows some of the most enchanting and least visited corners of the National Park. After this unforgettable tour, you will go back to your hotel where you will have a nice dinner

Visit Orgosolo, you will admire the “Murales” in the historical center. We have organized a jeep tour in the highlands: the tour will take you into a millenary forest. After this adventure, you will have the traditional lunch based on sliced salami, cheese, boiled sheep, roasted piglet, Pane Carasau – the typical Sardinian crispy bread, wine and some of the best spirits of Sardinia, such as Mirto and Filu e Ferru.

Continue to Cagliari and your final destination, farewell dinner with the fellow travelers.
