Days 1-2: Discover the nature

Arrival in Verona Airport and private transfer in San Cassiano. Day at leisure to explore San Cassiano village. We highly suggest The Sellaronda circuit is well-known far beyond our borders and is amongst the most impressive ski circuits in South Tyrol and indeed in the whole of the Italian Alps. The well-connected lifts and superbly prepared pistes will allow you uninterrupted skiing on 40 km of ski runs in one single day. On the Sellaronda, there is no need for you to take off your skis and you will never have to cover the same stretch twice. This unique ski circuit offers you breath-taking views of the astonishing mountain range that is the Dolomites and will take you across four Dolomite passes The Campolongo Pass, the Pordoi Pass, the Sella Pass and the Gardena Pass. The Sellaronda also skirts five communities: Corvara and Colfosco in Alta Badia, Arabba, Canazei and Selva.  This afternoon, take a walk in San Cassiano (or in German Sankt Kassian) is a notable area of South Tyrol that makes up part of the municipality of Badia. The land used to be used mainly for taking livestock to pasture; the Ladin word “armenc” corresponds to the word “armento” in Italian, which means “herd”.

Day 1
  • Welcome to Italy
Day 2
  • Ski with a private instructor and michelin starred dinner

Days 3-5: Taste your way around Dolomiti area

Thanks to a ski bus connection to Plan de Corones, skiers can use their Dolomiti Superski pass to get from Alta Badia, Pedraces/chair lift Sponata to the access point to the skiing region Plan de Corones, cable car Piculin. From the mountain station of the cable car Piculin, you can take the red run to reach San Vigilio and Plan de Corones. On the way back to Alta Badia experienced skiers will take the black run Piculin, a special challenge starting at the cable car Piculin mountain station and descending 2,000 meters (6,561 ft) down to the valley station in Piculin. In the afternoon we suggest visiting Corvara, located in a favorable and sunny spot in the middle of the Dolomite hiking and skiing area on the Sellaronda, at the foot of the Sassongher mountain, situated at 1,568 m above sea level.  You will be invited to a WWI bunker that has been turned into a cheese refinery.  The location is absolutely stunning and the experience will be memorable. You will meet the owner, once was a master chess maker, then decided to follow a dreamy project of refining cheese in a natural bunker. You’ll be guided through the tunnels, before having a tasting of cheeses, combined with local craft beers. Later proceed to Brixen, in South Tyrol is a compelling symbiosis of Tyrol’s oldest city with pretty narrow streets and a lively city center, the surrounding romantic holiday villages and the local leisure mountain Plose. Along the way back your Hotel, you will visit a beautiful wine estate inside an old monastery in Novacella. We highly suggest The First World War tour: Austrian mountain troops and the German Alpine corps along with the Italian ‘Alpini’ were present here from May 1915 until November 1917, engaged in a bitter struggle for survival. At the epicenter of the fighting, Col di Lana, the tour passes under the cliff walls of those famed peaks like Civetta, Monte Pelmo, Tofana, Lagazuoi, Conturines, Sottsass, Sassongher, Sella and Marmolada.

Imagine listening to the cheery jingle of the sleigh-bells, traveling along with the brisk gait of our wonderfully trained horses, watching the world whoosh by with calm.
