Days 1-4: Explore the Amalfi Coast on Foot and by Boat

Days 5-6: Marvel at the Landmarks of Rome

Days 7-10: Taste Your Way Around Tuscany

Over delicious lunch in the family villa, sample different white and red from the region and the amber-colored Vin Santo, a dessert wine traditional in Tuscany. Work off your lunch strolling around the walled village of Monteriggioni and the hilltop Castellina. Take a guided hike in the hills of Chianti and enjoy a picnic along the way. Choose one or two of the region’s famous castles to visit on a day trip: the medieval Fènis, transformed into a hunting residence by King Victor Emanuel II; the monolithic Verrès, which had a military purpose; or the splendid Gothic-Renaissance Castello d’Issogne. Delve into Aosta’s glorious nature by enjoying a full-day private hike with an alpine guide inside the Gran Paradiso National Park, the scenic home to ibex, marmots, eagles and other wildlife. Enjoy a day at leisure or opt for an excursion to Lillaz waterfalls, the park’s famous sight, where water drops 150 meters over three long rocky cascades.
