Marvel at the renowned Gothic cathedral in Orvieto, atop a volcanic rock hill and take an expert-led Umbrian cooking class and learn to prepare an Italian meal

To kick off this fantastic culinary tour of Italy, travel from Rome to Orvieto, where a typical local dinner awaits in an Italian trattoria. The next day take a guided tour of this magnificent city, with cobbled alleys and bronze buildings atop a tremendous hill of tufa volcanic rock. Visit Orvieto’s 13^th-century cathedral, one of Italy’s most astonishing Gothic churches, with a wonderful kaleidoscope of colors adorning its frescoes and mosaics. Some even prefer its 15^th-century Last Judgment fresco by Renaissance painter Luca Signorelli’s to Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel rendition.
