“Hi Daniela,
Sorry for late response- I have been very busy since returning home:-(
Please forgive incomplete sentences- just wanted to get you my thoughts/feedback quickly…
Gladiator School- a little odd but definitely fun for boys 10 years or younger (not for teenagers)
Vespa Tour- highlight of the trip- we would have done 2 days of this- perfect way to get around Rome and see a lot
We loved the winery and Pompeii- if we were to do the trip over we would have liked to visit the area/coast for 2 days
Maurizio driver/guide company- All the drivers were professional, prompt and knowledgeable. Special credit to Aldo
All the tour guides were fabulous in Rome!
Hotel 47 was in a great location (centralized)- we liked having the workout room- better equipped than we were expecting. We were happy to not be near Spanish Steps
High Speed Train Italo- excellent, clean and so easy
Giancarlo was an excellent driver/guide in Florence
5 Days in Florence would have been too many days for us- we loved the day long excursions to Pisa, Siena, and San Gimignano
Hotel Number Nine- great location, great concierge service, wonderful large rooms, great workout facility
Amedeii chocolate tasting- a highlight of the trip- great alternative for families in Tuscany (my kids enjoyed the winery at base of Mt. Vesuvius but one winery was enough)
Laura in Pisa was a particularly great guide- wonderful with kids!!
Palazzo Stern- our least favorite hotel. location was great but rooms were extraordinarily small- even for Europe.
Carnival Mask decoration was so fun- whole family enjoyed it so much!
Bike tour on Lido was nice. we couldn’t do tour on the dunes per the guide because Trevor was too young- it was still nice to do something different though.
All in all the trip was 5 star- we can’t wait to come back to Italy and explore more!
Best,
Jane”
