We can’t say enough wonderful things about our recent trip to Italy. We totally loved every aspect and we appreciated your quick turnaround and responding to our inquiries. Let’s step through the major aspects of the trip.
Rome – the Hotel Lunetta was a perfect location. It was an easy to walk to so many major sightseeing spots, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, and Piazza Navona. I would definitely recommend this hotel. The tours guides to the Coliseum and Vatican City were very knowledgeable and professional. All of our drivers were very prompt.
Restaurants – Hostaria Costanza and Da Giggetto were excellent. We had dinner with Ken & Joy at the Al Moro. This was a very special place and would highly recommend.
We enjoyed our Train Trip to Florence and we wished we utilized the train more through the trip. The train provides you views of the country side as you navigate to your next locations.
Florence – the Hotel Plaza Lucchesi – was great! Our tour guide for the walk around Florence was very knowledgeable. The shopping was great too!
Restaurants – La Giostra – this was great. The waiters were extremely helpful in food selections.
Osteria Del Cinghiale Bianco – the best house wine. The food was very good.
Winery Tour – the drive to the winery was nice with stops along the way. The food and wine were very good.
Siena – it was what you would think of a traditional Italian town. The tour guide was very knowledgeable.
Milan – it was a long drive from Florence to Milan. Our only suggestion- we should have taken the train.
Our walking tour guide was very knowledgeable.
Lake Como – the Palace Hotel, great location. Easy walking to everywhere. We ate at the 2 restaurants in Brunate. They were both very good with spectacular views of the lake at sunset!
Our 3 hour boat tour was very good. Lake Como was a good way to complete our trip as it was very relaxing and not as crowded as the other cities.
Discover Your Italy is definitely worth it. The personal touch, providing the cell phone to use for navigation and communication was perfect.
