“Hello Matteo,
we really enjoyed everything about the trip. We’ve never planned a trip like this with private tours so we really didn’t know what to expect. We were very pleased with the level of service and the time saving of having private drivers and private tour guides. The trip to Pompeii was excellent. Our driver was great and gave us good information and our tour guide, Barbara, really knew her way around Pompeii to get us in and out of the high traffic of the large groups. The winery tour and tasting was excellent. Our tour guide for the Vatican was very knowledgeable and did a good job of explaining in detail what we were seeing. Seeing the Colosseum was the one thing I really wanted to do out of everything and it didn’t disappoint. The surprising highlight of the trip was the Vespa tour. We were both a little hesitant about riding around on the back of Vespas through the crazy traffic but we were pleasantly surprised and we got to see many things we wouldn’t have otherwise seen. The guide asked me right away what we wanted to see and what we had already seen. Since we had already seen a lot of what was on his normal tour he suggested driving out along the Appian Way some and outside the walls of the city. This was actually something I had wanted to do but it didn’t fit into our time so I was happy. And not being on foot we were able to cover a lot of ground. And the overlook of the city right before sunset was a perfect end to our time in Rome. We enjoyed the few hours we spent in Florence and saw what we really felt we wanted to see. Staying in Lucca was the perfect suggestion. What a great little quaint and unique city. I had never heard of it. And our room was very uniquely painted and unlike any room we have ever stayed in. We had dinner with a couple from England and they were staying there for two whole weeks and I can understand why. Our tour guide for Pisa, Laura, was very good. She was very enthusiastic about her town and really explained things well. She even made us lunch reservations at a nice restaurant away from the crowds. Venice was definitely a unique town. We enjoyed taking a gondola ride on our anniversary. We “lucked” out and experienced an unusual high tide and got to experience wading through St. Marks square barefoot. All we could do was laugh. The tour of the city was very detailed and she provided us with great information. It was interesting seeing the fish market and learning some of the history of Venice. The boat trip out to Murano was fun and the tour guide, Andrea, was excellent and provided us with more great information on the history and current dilemmas facing Venice. It was fascinating watching them shape glass and see it in person. Our trip flew by but we got to see so much in relatively little time. Had we done this on our own we would not have seen as much and with the language barrier would not have learned as much. Having the phone was a great tool and came in handy. Having a weather app and a translator app and you available in an instant was a great stress relief. I will recommend you to anyone and everyone I know going to Italy and will use you again if and when we decide to return. Thanks again for making our trip easy and wonderful.”
