I know we all intended to email you when we returned from Italy, but I don’t know if it happened at all! When you have been away for a while it takes quite a bit of effort to catch up and we are not getting any younger, so time rushes by. So I apologize that I am only now writing to thank you for a most wonderfully organized tour. We were all most impressed by the efficiency of the arrangements, the places we visited – I don’t think there was anywhere that we felt was a waste of time – our accommodation was all that we wanted and right in the centre of everything. Above all our drivers were fantastic. They were always punctual, in spite of any traffic problems they might have had, and as I can say that we were also always on time, such punctuality was much appreciated. They were also unfailingly helpful and friendly, informative and amusing, and if one gave them a problem they sorted it out. We can’t sing their praises highly enough.
So we thank you for making our trip such a memorable one. You judged our requirements exactly and we had a most happy time in your beautiful country. We were just sorry that we never got to meet you!
