First of all, thanks so much for providing such a good experience for my family. We had a wonderful time and it was really thanks to the lovely accommodations and itinerary you selected for us.
We were especially impressed with the accommodations in Gaiole and Rome. WOW! The phone was also a special touch that really came in handy. It saved me from being lost many times!
The guide in Florence was FANTASTIC. As it turns out, she attended the same university as my father. She was also very knowledgeable and a wonderful guide.
Our only complaint would be the guide in Rome. While she was very nice, I think we really could’ve learned more from the audio guides in Mandarin rather than listening to her. I would suggest that if she is the only Mandarin speaking guide who is available in Rome, it would be better to go with the audio guides, at least in the Vatican, Colosseum, and the museums. While she spoke the same language, the quality of the information and the level of clarity with which she provided the information was strongly lacking. She was also very condescending at some points and quite defensive when we asked questions regarding more details of some of the sites.
The restaurant meals were also enjoyable. We preferred the restaurant in Florence, compared to the one in Trasvestere, because we were allowed to pick and choose the dishes, rather than have a set meal. The set meal was way too much food and too much meat.
Daniele was a wonderful driver. We really enjoyed talking to him. Georgos was also great.
All in all, however, it was just a wonderful and I’m really grateful to you for providing this experience. I don’t think we could’ve done this on our own.
Next time we are planning a family trip to Italy, we will be sure to contact you! Do you plan trips outside of Italy as well?
