“Hi Daniela and Mateo,
Sorry it has taken us so long to get back to you about our wonderful trip. We so very much enjoyed the trip you planned for us. Every detail was covered and the accommodations were are very nice. The tours were a delight. All of the guides were very good with one exception. The Bacaro’s tour was a disappointment as we did not get to anything in the area you suggested, so we did not get to enjoy this treat. It is hard to say what parts of the trip we enjoyed most, but some highlights for us. We loved Stresa and the surrounding area. The hotel was lovely, the tours exceptional. I would not go to Turin again. The car we had was very good, but poor Harold had to drive a very long way, good thing we had the phone you provided. A life saver. We loved the wine country, the vineyards were very impressive as was the wine tasting and cooking class. We were sorry that Cinque Terre did not work out for us because of the bad weather, but loved the one town we were able to see, Manarola was wonderful despite the weather. Our guide instead took us to another delightful city, Porto Venere, (not sure of the spelling.) We enjoyed it very much. We enjoyed Genoa, Lucca and Pisa, Laura was our guide in Lucca and Pisa, she was outstanding and went out of her way to help us get to Pratello Resort, which we loved. The castle in Perugia was so much better than I expected, the view from our window was good, and gave me enough light that I fell love with the castle. A very different experience. We enjoyed getting to meet you and your family. That was a special treat. One of the highlights of the stay was the truffle hunt and following lunch. We were a little past the season, but what fun. We visited the town of Citerna, which we loved. On to Assisi, the history here was so interesting, the story of St Francis and Claire. This was one of our favorite cities. Another highlight was the food tour, seeing how parmesan cheese is made, (I bought 2+ lbs), prosciutto and then on to learn about Balsamic vinegar, then on to a feast. Wonderful food and wine and wow, the food and wine kept coming. Venice and St Marks square were a sight to see, but so many tourists. Glad we got to see it but would not go back. We loved the small towns and villages best. Also want to thank you for the gift of Balsamic vinegar and the olive oil. Thank you for a wonderful experience that we will never forget. If and when we decide to visit Italy again, we will contact you. We also have given our friends info on your company, so maybe someone will take a trip. Have a wonderful holiday. Plan to send some pictures soon.”
