Overall our experience was fantastic. I don’t like to plan trips at the last minute, and we also didn’t want to go to only touristy places. You planned the trip quickly and efficiently, listening to our concerns and suggestions. We knew nothing about Perugia and it turned out to be one of our favorite places. Here are some other thoughts:
Bologna – good place to be in position to do the food valley tours. All 3 tours that day were outstanding, as was the hotel.
Florence – We enjoyed the restaurant very much. For those that are up to eating that late it turned out to be one of our best experiences; the Italian groups were animated and having fun on a Saturday night. Our guide for the excursions was very knowledgeable. The cooking class was ok; the neighborhood tour was informative.
Tuscany – the hotel was nice and the suite was large. Highly recommend the winery we visited. It’s a little more upscale than a normal winery but if you have someone looking for a small winery this is the one. Hill town excursions were very nice and recommend Volterra over San Gimignano.
Perugia – we were happy this was on the agenda and really enjoyed it. Our guide was excellent and we learned much more than we would have on our own. We both really enjoyed the chocolate making class; thanks for the suggestion.
Rome – this was quick so not much here. Food tour was ok. Hotel was nice and an upgraded room was a pleasant surprise.
Car service – excellent. Car service everywhere, on time and efficient. Makes the trip much more relaxing.
