It’s nice to hear from you. I may well take you up on your offer to come back and visit. I was very taken with Umbria and would like to visit it again–when it’s not quite as hot . I thought the trip was very well planned and the venues very nice. I only wish we could have spent more time in Assisi and Perugia. The drivers were all great and I really enjoyed both the Florence and Bevagna tours–the tour guides were very good and very nice. The cooking class was a real highlight: the location, the menu, the pace, the instructors–everything was really delightful.

Dear Daniela, Thank you for your note. We have been very busy with work and getting the children back to school. We had a fabulous time in Italy! David is working on a picture book. He’ll send you photos shortly. In general, my feedback is very positive about all aspects of our trip: highlights for us include the cooking class, the hotel in Rome, our visits to Bevagna (despite the heat). We also thought the walking tour of Florence was excellent.
