THANK YOU so so much for a once-in-a-lifetime trip! I wanted to share some insights about our marvelous anniversary vacation.
Florence was our absolute favorite.
I also thoroughly enjoyed Chianti. The hotel and accommodations were absolutely superb! I loved that we got to stay in a castle/villa that was so old & from the 14th century. It was breathtaking and beyond wonderful to get to experience the history of that hotel. Also, it was just positively beautiful countryside.
The long private guided hike had given me a little apprehension because I suffer from terrible back & hip issues. I worried about the hills and such. However, the hike ended up being 1 of my favorite things! Our tour guide was excellent & we also had a once-in-a-lifetime experience with a random farmer while we were hiking.
A local farmer noticed our guide explaining the olive trees and the tools used to make olive oil. The farmer (who didn’t speak any English, so THANK YOU to our guide for being a translator for us!), invited us to see how they make the olive oil & their wine. He then let us sample some of his family’s wine, directly from the huge stainless steel tank. THEN, he also gave us a large bottle of his olive oil, which he poured directly from the large container of olive oil. He wouldn’t accept any sort of payment for it and was just thankful that we were there. It truly was a once-in-a-lifetime memory.
Both of our close favorites were also the cooking class with the chef in Florence. We didn’t know what to expect & were completely blown away! The fact that we now can recreate the recipes with our 2 daughters, makes it even more wonderful.
Overall, our trip was absolutely perfect! We didn’t know exactly what to expect, but whatever those expectations were, they were beyond exceeded! Every driver was remarkably gracious as well as experienced. We are beyond thankful to you and your company for creating such a magical anniversary trip for us!
We have undeniably gotten the travel bug, especially for traveling in Europe. Mostly, we want to experience Pompeii, Sorrento, & the Isle of Capri next. So, you’ll definitely be hearing from the Savoies again.
You truly made our trip so effortless and stress-free! We could never have been able to plan something like this on our own, so we are forever thankful and grateful!
