Daniela,
Thanks so much for coordinating our wonderful adventure in Italy. It was my first visit to Italy and the diverse activities you planned made it a very enjoyable one. Overall our accommodations were nice and our guides were knowledgeable and helpful. Below are some specific comments (mainly highlights):
Bacari tour guide was good and had us eating things we never would have ordered on our own.
Florence tour guide was more detailed in art history than I prefer. I found my mind wandering as I soaked up my surroundings instead of listening to her.
Driver between Florence and Chianti made more stops than I expected letting us see more of the countryside.
The farm in Tuscany provided a nice break after 2 big cities. The down side was that our only eating option was the on site restaurant for 3 nights. Thankfully the food was good.
The picnic lunch provided by the hiking guide in Chianti was a treat. The guide and his wife had prepared the food. Very authentic.
Cooking school was a true highlight maybe because I like to cook. The lunch may have been my favorite meal of the trip.
Our guide in Lucca and Pisa, was very good, I wasn’t sure about the truffle hunting but it was interesting and the lunch afterwards was very good.
Our guide in Cinque Terre did a nice job of adapting our plan for the day. He was very knowledgeable and interesting.
The view from Hotel in Manarola was fabulous.
The lounge at the Milan Airport was a nice touch especially that early in the morning. The only issue is the airport signage didn’t match the name on the itinerary which was confusing (we were half asleep) as there appeared to be multiple lounge options.
I could say more but these comments should provide you some useful feedback for future guests.
Thanks again for the memorable trip .
