Ciao Matteo!
We LOVED our trip. It was everything we hoped it would be and more! Sorry for the delay in replying to you. We had to get my daughter settled at University and this is the first opportunity I have had.
What we liked most/ special experience that impacted us:
Hiking from Volstra to Manarola! We loved this experience! The views were amazing and we loved learning about the terrace farming. The tour guide was amazing! He knew so much about the land and its history. We loved learning as we hiked. He went at a great pace for our family. After we got to the 5 towns he was able to show us neat things and knew how to best manage our time regarding the trains vs walking to the next town. We loved this day!!
*My son tells everyone his favorite part of the trip was biking in Chianti. It was very fun and scenic. We do have a few suggestions from this part of our trip. The biking guide said this was his first time to work with your company. Some suggestions I have if you use him again are more comfortable seats (especially for the ladies). The restaurant he took us to for lunch is probably the most picturesque place we dined the entire trip! It was a little awkward that he dined with the family. Most other tour guides let us dine as a family and then rejoined us after the meal. He was an excellent guide though. He was so wonderful with my son who had difficulty with the bike at the beginning of the trip. I would recommend using him again with a few of the adjustments recommended above.
* We loved the tuk tuk tour. It was very fun! The tour guide made some stops we really enjoyed the first half of the tour. The second half we felt he drove around but didn’t stop to tell us what we were seeing. We would have enjoyed knowing more about what we were seeing.
Other things we loved:
Our tour guide for the Vatican. She was our favorite tour guide of the whole trip. She was so fun, so Italian, so knowledgeable! We loved her! I’m including a picture of us with her along with a few others that you are welcome to post to your socials.
Barbara and your other staff we so helpful when we had questions or needed a dining reservation. All of the restaurants your company recommended were amazing.
Lodging was all perfect for our family. We loved the breakfast at the hotel in Rome. We loved the extra space and convenience of the Florence apartment. The hotel in Venice was our favorite! We loved the history and how old, classy and very elegant it was!
The cooking class – very quaint, excellent instruction and food. I feel we learned how to come home and make these dishes.
We loved working with you and your staff and hope to have you plan another trip for us one day. We will definitely recommend you to our friends. Everything was so nice. We were well cared for and everything went seamlessly.
Grazie,
