We are back home and I wanted to thank you for all the arrangements for our Italy tour. I always get back to the tour operators and let them know what I liked and what I did not like. In your case I was satisfied with about 97%, which is high. I have very little to say that was not good, as everything came out perfect.
The best, I think, was having Barbara as my contact person, anything that was happening she was able to solve. That idea of Whatsapp is great, she was available at all times and I only contacted her like 3 times. Second, your app with the itinerary is amazing, this was another favorite thing of mine, as it was alway clear and I was able to understand what was happening.
It took me a while to understand it but it was amazing. I think maybe a 2 minute video tutorial before the trip would be great. The app works great and your google locators, and pictures of where people will be waiting for tours was great. Love the food tour, and the Siena tour. The guide was amazing, she is originally from Ecuador. She was so knowledgeable, also the guide from Pompeii, her name was Ines. Those tours were fantastic.
I have nothing to complain about, I really like the hotels and the locations were amazing, all pickups were on time and everything went smoothly. The only thing that I did not like was the tour of Firenze and I think this was a bit of miscommunication on my part and bad luck with not such a good tour guide. My feeling is the guide was not having a good day. Many people complain about the guide just pointing at places and not going inside. I wish we would have gone inside Duomo and other places. My recommendation in the future is to take a company that takes you inside the Church and takes you into places to see the actual venue, even if it costs more. Now, in the afternoon we had a tour of Academia and the guide was super nice and with lots of knowledge, she spent a good amount of time explaining things in detail.
Also, when there is down time, sell the Hop on and Hop Off tour in Rome. I took it that last day and revisited everything we loved, it was a good way to see the city.
I would highly recommend your company and I really loved the complete experience. I felt the price point was excellent for what I received. I would give your company all 10’s and I believe you were easy to deal with and really captured what I described on my “Ideal Vacation Page”.
