Hello Daniela ,
Jeff and I want to thank you, Barbara and the rest of your team for all of the time and hard work you put into our fantastic visit to Italy. We had the BEST time and everything went so well and was so organized, you really made it easy for us to just sit back and enjoy our time in Italy to the fullest!
What we liked the most:
- The tour guides. They were all so kind and patient, especially when our boys would eventually lose focus. They were all so knowledgeable and Jeff and I (and the boys, too) really enjoyed learning more about the history of all the sites we visited. It was also VERY nice to not have to wait in the long lines:). The boys especially loved seeing the Colosseum and the Catacombs. I had been to the Vatican before, but it is always nice to see it again. We all enjoyed seeing Michaelangelo’s David in Florence and learning all about the Medici.
- Mask making and the Gondola ride in Venice. We managed to get all of our masks home in one piece and we have them displayed in our living room. The boys were very proud of them and really enjoyed this activity.
- We all loved the pizza and gelato making class in Florence. The instructors were wonderful and very friendly and it was nice (especially for the boys) to have an activity that was hands-on and not just walking around looking at art/sites.
- The day we opted not to do Pisa, we went to the Pitti Palace and the Boboli Gardens. The Gardens are beautiful and we really had a nice time walking around there. There was an excellent Deli nearby where we picked up a casual lunch afterwards that I’d recommend: Deli 1891 Firenze.
- Loved the stop at the cheese farm in Pienza. It was the perfect way to break up the drive (and to double check that you have your passports. The meal was amazing and it was the most beautiful, peaceful place. We could have stayed there all day!
- The location for all of our lodging options could not have been better. We loved how centrally located we were and how easy it was to walk around. We also really liked being in places where we could all be together, and not split up in different rooms, which I know is not easy to do! Having breakfast on location in Rome and Venice was really nice. The boys loved the food and it made the start to our days very easy.
I don’t think I have any complaints with the planning or execution. We were always very informed of where we needed to be and when, and we felt very organized the entire trip. The WhatsApp feature for communication with you and Barbara was also very helpful. And we cannot thank you enough for helping us out of the mess we put ourselves in when we left the passports at the Florence Hotel. We were so grateful to have you helping to find a solution and Jeff was very grateful to not have to travel back to Florence to get it! You really saved the day!
Grazie Mille for the most wonderful time in the most wonderful country. We hope to be able to come back to Italy soon and we most definitely will let you know when we do!
Take care,
Lauren & Jeff Osher – (Tiburon, CA) – April 2024
