As our trip winds down, just the olive oil tasting left, I wanted to communicate to you how lovely the trip has been. All my expectations were met. At the end of this email I will share some productive reviews of just a few things not critical but might help you when booking other clients.
The guides were so friendly and knowledgeable. We loved them all. Your choice of lodging was superb, quaint and rich with history. My friend, Lynn, really got to discover Italy. My thoughts on both Rome and Milan has changed. In the past visits I was not a fan of either city but I can honestly say I had a change of heart and thoroughly enjoyed both of them. Thank you for your attention to details and putting together a lovely trip.
Just a few things:
Although we adored the tuk tuk guide, he really tried and was so sweet but his english was not good and he could not get his thoughts out. We could not understand most of his explanations.
Our Rome hotel was somewhat disappointing. The bathroom was clean and so were the linens. It was a 2 story room, meaning we had a sitting room down stairs and bedrooms upstairs. After along day of walking it was hard to climb the staircase. Also the downstairs sitting area needed a facelift, very old and tired drapes and furniture. The carpeting also very worn.. It was not clean
The balcony was loaded with dust. We were tired and ordered in pizza from the hotel. 40 euros . The pizza was terrible like cardboard. We relaid this to the front desk the next morning and they gave us a 20 euro credit.
Last if I had to do Sicily over again I would have stopped and stayed more time in Taormina. Both Lynn and I are not fans of Trapani or Favignana. Not charming, not alot going on, although we love the sea air at night. Most of the shops, although there are not many, have closed for the season and we were hoping to swim. No real access. The beach was beautiful in Taormina had I realized it I would have chilled there for the last few days. Here’s hoping our excursion to the farm tomorrow is nice.
I hope I have not offended you because 99% of the trip was marvelous. It’s just good feedback. Thanks again and if I get back to Italy I will use your agency and certainly refer you. With the warmest gratitude

Just back from olive oil: we had amazing time
The papa and mama were there and she baked special bread stuffed with sardines, tomatoes, parmesan and drizzled with olive oil. It was heaven. They also served olive bread with the olive oil tasting and green and black olives. Harvest starts tomorrow so no production to show us. They shifted us a bag of their lentils. It was a very nice visit.
