Dear Daniela,
Sorry It has been so long to get back to you, I have been fighting computer issues and have been on the road quite a bit since we returned. That being said, here are some thoughts.
To start with we had a wonderful time and would recommend your services to anyone.
In Venice the transfers made getting to the hotel very easy. The hotel itself was very nice, the people were great and the location was wonderful. The only suggestion I would have is that the front desk staff seemed to know only 3 local restaurants to suggest. We found others through your list and the tour guide suggestions but it would have been nice if they had other suggestions. One of the great things around the hotel was that there were two or three wine bars on various canals and it seemed like there was a rotating party each night after dinner, so much fun.
All the tour guides were very pleasant and welcoming (this can be said for all of the guides on the trip). The content of the tours was very good and kept us interested. The true highlight was the time Lauren spent with the glass Jewelry maker.
The time in Tuscany was a nice change of pace and the trips were excellent. The Hotel was a great venue and they really catered to us. Assisi is a wonderful town and we totally enjoyed it. The only comment I would have is that the wine tasting and lunch outside of Assisi was in a wonderful location but not very organized and very little for Lauren, our vegetarian to eat.
Once again her time with the goldsmith was the highlight of her trip. He spent 2.5 hours with her and was truly gracious ending the time with some snacks and prosecco.
Florence, as always was beautiful if very busy. It was great for Lauren to get to the museums and see the city. Hotel was very helpful with restaurants and suggesting things to do. The cooking class was a fantastic experience. We had a wonderful time and learned something in the process. Our chef could not have been more friendly and helpful.
Positano was just wonderful. The hotel and its staff were so nice and caring that they made the time incredibly enjoyable. The walk of the gods and our guide were exceptional. He was informative and very helpful on the trail. He even invited us in to his farm, along the trail, for a lemonade. Capri was beautiful, we but that is just nature. We did not get to do much swimming due to jellyfish but that is just nature. Anacapri was our favorite part of the island as the main town is basically a very pretty shopping mall.
Herculaneum and Pompeii was a great day trip and our guide was incredible. The stop for lunch was a nice interlude.
The trip along the coast was ok but basically were just dropped off in the two towns and on our own. Would have been better if there had at least been a map provided of each of the towns. or suggestions on what might been of interest.
Naples surprised us. The food was wonderful and surprisingly inexpensive. The guide gave us a great tour and left us with suggestions on things to do the next day. The hotel was great and upgraded us to a suite. There roof bar has a wonderful view and is a great place to end the evening.
One other suggestion, there is no need to get to Naples airport 3 hours ahead of the flight. We basically sat at the airport for over an hour before they opened the flight check in.
All in all a fantastic trip. Thank you so much for organizing it for us.
I will send a few Photos in the next day or so.
Once again thank you.
