Hotels: All were good. We especially liked Mandranova and Villadorata for their location and service. Please note that at Ducale you should avoid room 22 that is next to the restaurant.
Phone. This was very helpful. I apologize for loading the Google Translate app onto the phone. I would suggest that you leave the Translate App on the phone. We did not use it much, but it did help with the translation of the signage and menus!
Pick-up of rental car in Palermo airport. It took 2 hours to get the car. There were many people in line. The rental car staff were working hard, but the filling out of the forms took way too much time.
Guides. The guides were great. Maurizio (guide for Path of the Gods) was a real treat. We stopped at his family farm/cave on the way up the hill to the Path. We had the trail up to the Path to ourselves except for some of Maurizio’s neighbors. Also, Marco (guide for Valley of Temples). He had diagrams of the Temples that allowed us to better visualize what the Temples looked like originally.
