Matteo,
Emily and I had such a wonderful trip experience. It seemed that there was not a detail left overlooked and it certainly took any worry or concerns out of play. From the time we set foot in Italy, the experience was seamless with regard to our travel details. Although I know we barely scratched the surface of what can be accomplished in the time frame we had, it served to provide us with some historical highlights as we toured each city we stayed in or visited as well as an appreciation of the riches of art, architecture and of course the food and wine. Venice is a world all unto itself and traveling through the canals was an unforgettable treat. The cooking class in Florence was a real treat for me and learning to make gnocchi made it even better. Visiting the Accademia Gallery and viewing the sculptures, especially Michelangelo’s David leaves one speechless. Just amazing. I can’t say we had any mediocre meals- we enjoyed them all. The winery experience was also delightful. We tried to visit as many of the shopping spots that were recommended and managed to leave with multiple souvenirs, some of which we had shipped back due to lack of luggage space. Since the balloon ride and the speedboat ride were both canceled due to the weather, the Vespa tour was especially nice. It allowed us to truly experience navigating around Rome other than on foot and to see more of it in a shorter period of time. All of the accommodations were conveniently placed for our itinerary and were very nice. Other than the events that had to be canceled, there was not one negative about the planning and the choices you made for our trip. Again, thank you so much for all that you did to make it such a memorable experience. I will certainly steer anyone your way who is looking to visit your beautiful country.
Best regards,
