We’ve divided our range of tours into two types: Your Italy & Our Italy. Whether you choose the freedom and independence of a bespoke Your Italy tour or pick a set departure date of one of Our Italy small-group tours, you can count on unique handcrafted itineraries based on years of local insight, heaps of insider knowledge and deep experience designing complex journeys. On our own research trips over the years, we have personally tested out every single experience, made strong partner connections, ensured every moment of your trip runs smoothly and thought of detail like the welcome packs, online itinerary and a dedicated customers service.

In addition to personally inspecting every single property we offer to our clients, we make sure all the lodgings are distinctive and exceptional. Our curated collection of options includes charming B&Bs, elegant historic mansions, period-style villas and plush luxury resorts. For both Your Italy and Our Italy tours, we select local restaurants frequented and loved by Italians. We’ve tried them all – from typical trattorias in small towns to top-notch gourmet city restaurants – and can vouch for the quality and authenticity of their culinary offerings. All our food & wine activities, from pizza making to chef-led cooking classes and tastings at renowned wineries, are thoughtfully curated to showcase the real flavors of Italy.

TRANSPORTATION

For every itinerary, we find the best transportation solutions. Be it a luxury car or minivan with a professional English-speaking driver, high-speed trains that whisk you across the country at over 200 miles per hour or a plane to the more distant destinations, we make sure you travel comfortably and safely. Self-driving is a great option when exploring remote, off-the-beaten-path areas of Italy; we secure the car rental and the insurance.

Matteo

Cofounder and owner of FUORITINERARIO - DISCOVER YOUR ITALY
A graduate of Milan Bocconi Business School, Italy's top-ranking business school, Matteo spent several years after college working for some of the most prestigious organizations across the globe, managing the challenges of globalization. The international exposure helped Matteo understand his home country is a dream destination for many people. Life abroad multiplied Matteo's love for Italy and motivated him to share his insider insights and knowledge with others. Paired with a desire to run his own business, it inspired him to move back to Italy and launch his own travel company. Originally from Milan in northern Italy, Matteo will always exceed your expectations with the awesome itineraries he designs. And if you ever visit Perugia, he’ll be happy to give you a ride in his 1972 vintage FIAT 500.

Daniela

Cofounder and owner of FUORITINERARIO - DISCOVER YOUR ITALY
A graduate of Milan Bocconi Business School, with a major in Strategy & Marketing, Daniela is an avid traveler who has explored several continents and many countries across the globe. Through the challenges of planning and organizing her own worldwide travels, she gradually learned the paramount importance of local travel specialists. Daniela’s desire to run her own business and her love for Italy inspired Daniela to launch her own travel company. Born and raised in Perugia in central Italy, Daniela is a mother of two and a wife of one, always involving them in her endless explorations of Italy.

Lucia

While doing an internship with us, Lucia got hands-on training for her Masters’ major: promotion of Italy and Made in Italy abroad. She is gaining experience as a travel designer and shows genuine talent for creating fantastic itineraries across Italy. Lucia is very motivated, reliable and always delivers her excellent products on time. Born and raised in Basilicata, one of Italy’s most beautiful and off-the-radar regions, Lucia is also the heart and soul behind our website.

Giovanna

Giovanna is a seasoned travel professional with extensive experience as a tour leader with several Italian outgoing tour operators in a number of countries around the world. When Giovanna decided to move back to Italy, she was in charge of sales for one of the largest outgoing tour operators. Giovanna is part of our customer service team, focused on checking all the final details of our tour programs and travel documents and making sure all services are executed to perfection and full satisfaction of our clients.

Erika

Accounting was invented in Italy back in 1500 and Erika continues that tradition at our company; she is a member of our accounting department. She makes sure our operations fully comply with all accounting and tax regulations of Italy. Committed and focused, Erika is the “nightmare” of all providers who make mistakes when issuing their invoices.

Claudio

As our product manager, Claudio is in charge of selecting and negotiating contractual terms with the amazing local providers who are part of our network. Claudio has extensive professional experience in sales, product management and operations; he is also a certified tour leader and guide. Claudio lives with his family in a lovely small town half way between Verona and Lake Garda and works in our Milan office. He speaks several languages fluently, including some Icelandic.

Barbara

Barbara is our customer relations manager, in charge of all our clients from the moment they book the trip until after they return home. Barbara ensures our clients are fully briefed about Italy before they arrive and is constant contact with them during the trip, if they have any questions or need assistance. Barbara has extensive guest relations experience in top five-star properties in Italy and abroad. Barbara is from Rome and moved to Milan to work at our office–a Tale of Two Cities coming true!

Michela

Michela, our accomplished Travel Designer, seamlessly moved from an enriching internship to a valued member of our team. With hands-on training across various facets of our organization, Michela brings a wealth of experience as a travel designer and customer service specialist. Motivated, professional, and reliable, Michela's roots in the heart of Italy - Umbria, coupled with her academic journey through London and Siena, uniquely shape her approach to crafting unforgettable travel experiences.

Cristiano

Cristiano has spent years designing Italy itineraries for the most prestigious and old travel organization in Italy. He has developed an in depth knowledge of the most popular touristic destinations as well as of the hidden gems in Italy. As Travel Designer in our team, that experience will allow Cristiano to craft amazing custom itineraries for the most demanding clients.

Luca (aka Giuseppe)

Luca has developed an extensive experience in sales, marketing & operations of Italy custom tour packages for different tour operating companies both in Italy and Canada. Luca is our Sales & Marketing Manager in charge of promoting our products on the international markets. The deep knowledge of his home country Italy and of the North American market is extremely useful in reaching more clients and allow them to experience our amazing Italy tours.

Veronica

Veronica is a Travel Designer with an extensive experience in designing, planning and executing custom trips for a few high end tour companies both in Italy and the US. She has an in depth knowledge of Italy and the travel services in the different areas of the country. As Travel Designer in our team, that experience will allow Veronica to develop amazing custom itineraries in the most beautiful regions of Italy for the most demanding clients.

Cinzia

Cinzia is an experienced Finance professional with extensive experience in all fields of that function. She also worked for one of the top Italian 5 Star Luxury properties and Michelin star restaurant which allowed her to enrich her profile with the peculiarities of the high end travel industry. Cinzia is an active volunteer paramedic with the Red Cross and dedicates most of her free time to that activity and her beloved dogs.

Klarita

Klarita is having an internship with us to complete her degree in Marketing of Travel Companies. Before starting to study for her degree, she worked for several years in promoting and selling the best Italian food porducts mainly to foreigners. Klarita is very motivated, a quick learner and hard worker. We are totally sure she will make a fantastic contribution to our Booking Team.

Serena

Serena is one of our Travel Designers, her studies embrace both Translation Studies and Cultural Heritage Management. She believes that her personal background is the right tool to build perfect itineraries for foreigner visitors: she can suggest you the must-visit spots just as like Italy’s hidden gems. Born and raised near Rome, she is now part of our office in Milan.

Liam

A travel enthusiast at heart, Liam recently began working at Fuoritinerario as part of our customer service team. His bilingual fluency in Italian and English allows him to communicate with you effectively and to provide you with all the information you need. He is also part of the marketing team and contributes to our social media campaigns alongside Luca.

Greta

Greta is one of our Travel Designers. Born and raised in the North of Italy, with a genuine passion for travel across our beautiful and breathtaking country.
Dedicated, meticulous and detail-oriented, she will surprise you with her itineraries across the most dazzling corners of Italy: from pristine landscapes to Italy’s landmark sites and the most beautiful cities and places with cultural heritage significance.

Sabrina

Sabrina is one of our Travel Designers. Coming from the quaint province of Matera, she has always been keen on foreign languages, traveling and all forms of art. Driven by a great passion for her job, her mission is to showcase the beauty of both Italian cultural heritage and destinations, while crafting unconventional tailor-made itineraries for tourists from all corners of the globe. She firmly believes in adopting a more sustainable approach, and, therefore, that tourism is not just about visiting places; rather, it involves diving into the true essence of a destination by connecting with locals, and savoring unique experiences that will linger in one’s mind forever.

Aura

Aura is one of our Booking Specialists. Her studies spanned from foreign languages and the management of tourism systems. She has several years of experience in Sales in the travel industry and loves to interact with clients from different countries. She loves exploring new destinations far from mass tourism, and seeking out sustainable experiences in contact with nature. This passion and enthusiasm, together with her organizational attitude and attention to details, will make a great contribution to our Team.

Kennedy

Kennedy is specialised in tourism management with an extensive background in cultural studies and heritage tourism. Born in the Philippines, raised in Milan, Italy, he got the mix of both worlds. His love for traveling and discovering new locations began when he arrived in Italy, thus he is dedicated to promote Italy as a tourist destination. What set him apart are his precision and professionalism. Now, he’s part of our Team as one of the Booking Specialists.

Elisa

Elisa has a university degree in Travel Management and 10+ years of working experience in Travel Agencies. Her extensive work experience in the travel industry has allowed Elisa to develop a deep understanding of the business dynamics as well as the ability to find the best local suppliers and make sure they deliver great value to clients. This expertise, together with her relational and organizational abilities, will make a great contribution to our Booking Team.

Najwa

Najwa is a young professional who is increasingly consolidating her experience as Travel Designer in our Team. She has a strong motivation to develop a career in the Travel Industry and a proven track record to design amazing itineraries throughout Italy.

Deborah

Deborah is a young professional who is starting her career in the Travel industry. She is gaining hands-on experience with an internship in our Team. Her motivation and interest to learn will provide an important support to the different teams in our organization.

Elena

Elena is a new member of our team and is gaining hands-on experience in the travel industry as an intern. Born and raised in Umbria, she recently graduated at the University of Florence, where she completed her studies in Design of Sustainable Tourism Systems. Elena is committed to contributing to the promotion of Italy as a destination through the development of more responsible and sustainability conscious tourism practices.

Chiara

Chiara is a member of our accounting department. With 20 years of accounting experience in different companies, she makes sure our operations fully comply with all accounting and tax regulations of Italy. Organized and with a problem solving attitude, Chiara contributes to keep our P&L always updated and in line with our business. In her free time Chiara loves to run marathons.

Ken

Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, USA Ken has recently become the US Representative for FuorITinerario Discover Your Italy. Ken has a passion for Italy travel and all things Italian. With past and present roots in the area of Messina in Sicily Ken is a frequent visitor to the beautiful island. From his Boston office he consults and advises inquiring US travelers on prospective Italy itineraries, and works closely with the representatives in the Perugia and Milano offices of FuorITinerario to organize truly unique and one of a kind experiences. Ken is a true “foodie” when it comes to Italian cuisine and his restaurant recommendations are exceptional. Ken has also been the co-founder of several technology firms in the Boston area, however now choses to share his time and passion of Italy with others.

Penny

Penny is a greyhound who was supposed to race in Ireland before we rescued her. She quickly got used to our working environment and is now an active team member in charge of testing & patroling the office carpet. Penny is VERY fast and got used to Italian food in a matter of seconds. Tall, long, muscular and with soft ginger fur, she may scare those who meet her for the first time because of her size. On the contrary, she is very social, respectful and well-behaved. Penny is very outgoing and sweet. She is also Matteo’s personal trainer; he walks with her several times a day up and down the hills of Perugia. By doing so, he’s always perfectly fit.
