Thank you for the email. We had such a fantastic, memorable time in Tuscany with the family! We will be talking about it for a long time.
There are so many great experiences it is hard to choose what to say we liked most.
Debra and my stay at the hotel near Montepulciano is just what we wanted. The hotel was stunning and they were very accommodating when we wanted to change rooms for a nicer view of the vineyards. The restaurant on site was great. We had dinner there a few times and breakfast every day. The day trips from there were all fantastic. We especially enjoyed the Olive Oil Mill tour. Our host was great and the lunch after the tour was fantastic. The vineyards were both great and the tasting and lunch afterward was an amazing 9-course meal in an amazing setting.
All the meals in Montepulciano were amazing. Such a great experience. I cannot believe Debra and I ate all that steak!
The Hotel in Florence was fabulous! We enjoyed our guide there. She had great stories in both Florence and Siena. It was super crowded there. Probably because it was the weekend.
We loved Lucca! In the end, we had wished we stayed in the city.
The cooking class with the chef was fantastic. And the concert afterwards was a great bonus!
It was great to see Pisa and the tower. Our guide made it interesting with all her stories of Pisa.
The winery in Bolgheri was amazing. The tour was great and the tasting was fantastic. They recommended going into Bolgheri for lunch and we found a great outdoor cafe there and enjoyed walking around the town immensely.
Cinque Terre! Was beautiful and interesting. My legs will not soon forget it. Our guide, knew just the right amount of hike versus train. Loved it.
I would say the truffle hunt was definitely one of our top experiences! The place,the guide and the meal after were all amazing. I have gone from not liking Truffle to a Truffle fan. (When in Italy)
Ending the trip on the boat tour was perfect! Such a beautiful boat and Captain Diego and first Mate had great stories of the area and they made a fantastic lunch!
