Our trip to Italy was fabulous!!! We love your beautiful country. Our favorite part of the trip was the Tuscany Chianti area, the hotel you recommended here was fabulous. Our drivers were courteous and on time. The guides were fantastic, so knowledgeable and passionate about sharing their love of Italy.
The Florence museums were full of magnificent art but very crowded. If we were to go again I would want a guide for the Uffizi instead of the Academia. Our guides were just the best! Our cooking class was delightful. Our guided tour was so much fun and we learned a lot. It was especially fun to go into the kitchen of the chef’s beautiful home.
The hotel on top of the hill in Monterosso was so beautiful. We enjoyed walking and taking the train to the different villages. We loved Cinque Terre.
Venice is so unique and beautiful. We had fun getting lost if we weren’t with a guide. The Bacari tour provided a fun break, another great idea for us. The tour of St. Mark’s Basilica and Doge’s Palace was amazing. Rome was just incredible! The Vatican City and Sistine Chapel are a must-see. I have read about it and seen it on tv many times. We loved the Colosseum and hearing all the information about ancient Rome. Our guide was outstanding.
Our accommodations were beyond our expectations. Every hotel was exceptional. We are not used to staying in such beautiful hotels. The breakfasts were so delicious and full of wonderful choices. The only thing we might do differently would be to go in November, February or later spring when it might be less crowded.
