Before any more time passes I want to let you know how much we enjoyed our trip to Puglia. You gave us a nice mix of culture, food, destinations and activities with enough free time for us to explore and just relax. I have to admit that I questioned some of your decisions before we left but all of your advice was perfect. Many thanks for helping us have a wonderful vacation!
I thought the car was going to be too big but it just perfectly fit us and all our bags–anything smaller would have been a mistake. I didn’t think we needed the extra car insurance either, but with the flat tire we were all very happy you had insisted on that. The help from you and your team (along with Lucia at Borgo Dei Lecce, who was just amazing!) when we got the flat tire made it possible to continue our trip without missing a beat.
All four of us were just delighted by Borgo Dei Lecce. It’s a spectacularly beautiful, restful space and was perfectly centrally located for the day trips we made. (I know I had wanted to spend a night in a cave hotel in Matera but after walking through that city I realized that parking and moving luggage there would have been a nightmare–thank you for your wisdom!).
The guides were mostly great. We especially liked the guide in Matera. The way he introduced us to the city by hiking through the countryside with its caves made the city even more impressive. And the fact that his family has lived there for generations really brought the history alive for us. The bike ride guide was also very good and the stop at the mozzarella farm was very enjoyable.
I also wondered why we didn’t stay in a hotel by the airport in Rome but was so glad that we drove into the city. We saw so much on the ride in and out and were able to walk to the Trevi Fountain and have a meal in the city.
We were sorry that high winds prevented the boat ride you had arranged but were very happy with the ride we were able to take on the other side of the coast. Thank you for your quick reimbursement of the cost of the original trip.
All in all, we were very pleased with all the arrangements you made for us. If we hear of others who plan to visit Italy we will certainly recommend your agency to them. It was a pleasure working with you!
