Good morning Luca!
I hope you had a great weekend and thank you for reaching out! I have been waiting to reply to your email because it is so difficult to put into words how amazing our trip was, in large part due to your help. We cannot thank you enough for the guidance and organization you provided so that we were able to relax and enjoy this incredible trip with our family! I have already shared your name and company info with so many people and I will continue to recommend you to anyone thinking about traveling to Italy.
Your process of having a video call with us to try to understand what we enjoy and then following up with a proposal designed for us was perfect. We felt you really heard what we were looking for in our trip and your recommendations were perfect. Then the app that we referenced constantly during the trip and the ability to connect with your team on your messaging app made it so I didn’t have to worry about anything. Thank you again for that!
I want to share feedback but please know that anything that wasn’t amazing was not a big enough deal that it ruined our trip. Almost everything was perfect so these little things are the only to help you know what your customers may experience with certain vendors. I’m going to bucket my feedback into 3 groups…drivers, accommodations, tours/guides.
Drivers: Having drivers available to take us to each location was so amazing, especially with a family of 5! They were all on time and got us everywhere safely while also being personable and professional. Some of them stood out as amazing (driver from Rome to Pompeii to Sorrento on July 4, driver from Sorrento to Praiano on July 5, and our driver who we were with for 2 days in Chianti) and others just did the job which was totally fine. Only one transfer was a little uncomfortable, not because of the driver but his car. The driver from Sorrento to the train station in Naples on July 7 couldn’t get our doors closed all the way so the air conditioning wouldn’t turn on and it didn’t feel very safe. And one of the chairs in the back broke in the middle of the ride. No big deal…just wanted to let you know.
Accommodations: The hotel in Rome was great! The apartment in Florence was amazing! We wish we would have stayed here longer. 🙂 The hotel in Chianti was really nice but their evening restaurant is closed and they didn’t have room service, so the one night we were tired and wanted to stay in, we could not. Breakfast was really good, their pool is awesome and the town is beautiful.
Tours/Guides: These experiences were what made our trip so special and thank you again for arranging them!
– Food tour in Rome…it was amazing! Loved our guide and everything about this tour.
– Colosseum/Roman Forum…great tour! Our guide was very knowledgeable and proud to share everything he knew about Roman history.
– Pompeii…another wow! Such an amazing experience and our guide had a great way of explaining to our kids and making the whole tour very relatable. Loved her!
– Hike on Path of the Gods…best experience ever! I can only imagine that you hear this all the time…he is incredible and the whole experience was probably the best day of my life. I do think the hike itself is probably more than moderately difficult but we loved it and it was worth every bit of effort. We can’t thank you enough for this experience and if you can thank him for us, we would really appreciate it!
– Half day Florence tour…least favorite guide. He had some great information but really just talked at us, not with us. Still had a great day but he didn’t add much to it.
– Lunch at San Donato…amazing! Beautiful, relaxed, amazing wine and food.
– Free day in Chianti…nice relaxed day experiencing the beautiful countryside.
– Cheese Farm experience with the owner…interesting! The farm was incredible and the lunch was perfect, surrounded by the most beautiful scenery. It was our last day of the trip so we may have been just too tired to fully enjoy but the cheese making class with the owner was pretty long and very in depth. We learned a lot and it was very cool to experience but was just a little long for us and then we had to rush through our favorite part which was the lunch to get on the road. Not bad, just different than what we expected.
This may be too much information but I wanted to take the time to go through every day so that we can say thank you to all of the people who shared their passion with us for their amazing country. We LOVE Italy and will definitely be back. And when we do, we will definitely be in touch with you to help us plan it again!
We have so many pictures…it is hard to pick just a few! But I have attached a few here. I can’t thank you enough and can’t wait to come back! Grazie!!!!
