To kick off this fantastic culinary tour of Italy, travel from Rome to Orvieto, where a typical local dinner awaits in an Italian trattoria. The next day take a guided tour of this magnificent city, with cobbled alleys and bronze buildings atop a tremendous hill of tufa volcanic rock. Visit Orvieto’s 13th-century cathedral, one of Italy’s most astonishing Gothic churches, with a wonderful kaleidoscope of colors adorning its frescoes and mosaics. Some even prefer its 15th-century Last Judgment fresco by Renaissance painter Luca Signorelli’s to Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel rendition. Dedicate the next day to an exclusive cooking class led by an expert chef and master a complete menu of Italian food based on local ingredients from Umbria.

Discover its Renaissance past while meandering the cobbled streets of its historic center, dotted with churches and stone towers. The local delicacy is sure to make your mouth water: olive all’ascolana consists of fried olives stuffed with chicken or turkey. End your food and wine tour where it began, back in Rome.
