Tour starts
- Arrival in Italy. Transfer from your arrival airport (Rome or Milan) by speed train to Florence; then private transfer from Florence to Pietrasanta. Or, if you arrive in Pisa: private transfer from the Pisa airport to Pietrasanta.
- Afternoon, relax at your wonderful hotel: Albergo Pietrasanta, a luxury boutique hotel located in a seventeenth century palace, in the historical center of the town, a few steps far from the cathedral and the medieval square.
- “Tuscan Dinner”, on a nice little village close-by to taste local delicacies in a very nice surrounding.

2 PISA-VOLTERRA
Tuscan jewels: Campo dei Miracoli (Field of Miracles) in Pisa and the beauty of Volterra
- Two exceptional destinations, in the most spectacular and authentic Tuscany.
- In the morning, a visit to Pisa, one of the most ancient cities of Italy and an absolute masterpiece of Italian art: The Campo dei Miracoli (Field of Miracles), with the marvellous white and grey marble of the Cathedral, the Baptistery and the Leaning Tower.
- Lunch in a refined restaurant at Volterra.
- In the afternoon, visit to the city of Volterra, jewel of Etruscan, Roman, Medieval and Renaissance art. Visit to the workshops of an artistic craft which is unique in the world: Alabaster.

3 CINQUE TERRE
“The five lands”
- Full day excursion to discover the 5 Lands: 5 miles of rocky coast, covered in vineyards; 5 villages clinging on the cliffs.
- In Riomaggiore visit to the picturesque marina with its tall, narrow, colourful houses.
- Follow the “Trail of Love”, until Manarola, the smallest village of the five.
- After an aperitif with local wines, boat trip to Vernazza, the most picturesque of the villages, with small houses, alleyways and lodges. A marvellous lunch with the freshest of fish and traditional pesto.
- By minibus to Corniglia, the only one of the 5 not directly on the sea, for a last glimpse at the breathtaking landscape.
- (it is also possible to include a “Pesto sauce” cooking lesson)
- Return to Pietrasanta in the evening.

4 CARRARA
Michelangelo’s “White Marble”
- A special day dedicated to Italian Art and Territory: discover the secrets of worldwide famous sculpture from the past and the present
- In the heart of Apuan Alps, spectacular mountains overlooking the sea, visit the Caves where still today it is extracted the famous white marble from Carrara, used also by Michelangelo.
- Lunch in Colonnata, a picturesque little village perched in these mountains to taste the local delicacy “Lardo di Colonnata” in a typical “osteria”.
- In the afternoon, visit the marble sculpture ateliers in Pietrasanta, where invention takes form in marble blocks and becomes a work of Art.

5 FLORENCE
The Italian genius
- An entire day and evening dedicated to discover one of the cities where the Italian art genius reached its peak: Florence.
- In the morning, leaving from Piazzale Michelangelo, a walk through the historical centre and a visit to the major monuments, avoiding crowded places and privileging its most characteristic corners: the Cathedral with its incredible Dome by Brunelleschi, the Baptistery and the spectacular Bell Tower by Giotto, the austere Piazza della Repubblica and the elegant Piazza della Signoria, the characteristic Ponte Vecchio, to end at the “Accademia Gallery” to stand face to face with Michelangelo’s David.

6 LUCCA-TORRE DEL LAGO
Art and “great music”
- Spend the morning in Lucca, a real jewel in the heart of Tuscany.
- A walk or bicycle ride along the tree-lined city walls. Visit the historic centre: The Basilica of San Frediano and the Cathedral, up to the charming Amphitheatre Square, built on the remains of an ancient Roman theatre, along characteristic medieval streets, famous for its antique dealers.
- Spend the afternoon in a magical place: Torre del Lago, where the famous compositor Puccini lived and composed his masterpieces. Visit the lake and Puccini’s Villa and during the summer season assist to a live Opera in the incredible “open air” theatre.
